MENTORSHIP
In the personalized mentorship sessions, Merve Cirisoglu shares her design outlook and other skills that she has accumulated through her experience studying and working on animation.
Each week students attend a one-on-one mentorship session over Skype. Each session includes a lecture, homework critiques, and time to go over any questions that students have. They are also assigned weekly exercises based on the lecture that will help hone their design sensibilities. Sessions will be fast-paced and aimed at students' goals about preparing an education plan, creating a portfolio, improving their talents and understanding of design. In the mentorship sessions, one of our dear students, Hatice Sena Balkan, illustrated the scientific adventures "New Voices" the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine for the children's book published in the US. So proud of her amazing artworks!

As fruit of our lessons with Hatice, she learned about animation production by focusing on layout design, character design, painting, story writing and storyboarding, and developed a portfolio. She successfully got accepted into one of the top universities in London, Middlesex University, and started studying Animation in 2020.
